Placer-2. Reworking old tailings
This is a little South West of Granite coming down from Olive lake. The area was worked with a bucket line dredge and now it is being reworked with modern machines. The old dredges missed anything over 1" and the real fine stuff. So there is a lot left.

Red Boy-1. Between Granite and the Fremont powerhouse.
The Red Boy mine was one of the stories that make Gold prospecting fun. It was one of the Big producers till it petered out and everyone left. But I'll bet there is still Gold down there for the taking.

Susanville-3 The Road into Susanville.

Susanville-2 The old Mill Site
This is the old mill site and the portal is just behind me. Some of the old cabins seem to have been in use or are still in use and some of the area is under claim and being prospected. We did not see any sign of a working mine.
